I'm looking for some software recommendations for the analysis of ELISA data. I would like to be able to generate a standard curve and then convert OD's into actual target protein concentrations. Ideally it should be possible to copy and paste the data from the plate reader output (e.g. Excel) directly into the software for analysis and also be able to support different plate layouts. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

What is the best approach for the sterilisation of slide coverslips?

I would like to isolate LDL, and HDL and subject them to gradient electrophresis for particle size determination.I am just wonder if there is any one who has done this before. I have human plasma and serum samples. According to some paper that i read, the protocol involves adjustment of the density before ultracentrfugation with Kbr.However,, i do not know how to adjust density of plasma before fractionation. I really appreciate your help. If you could please be detailed as much as you can.

Where in eukaryotic cells are chromosomes found?

I am going to be performing qPCR using oligoDT for conversion of mRNA to cDNA. In order to design the assays for each gene I intend to use the Roche primer design assay. Since the oligoDT may not reach the 5' end of the mRNA (it moves ~1KB max) should the primers/probes be designed to be at the start or end of the output sequence? It has been suggested to put them towards the 3' end. Is this correct?

We are looking at anchorage independent cell growth for adherent colon cancer SW480 cells. There exist some low adherence plates, and coating systems, but these are rather expensive. Has anyone had any success growing adherent cells on sterile non-coated plates? Are they sufficiently non-adherent?

There exist a number of approaches for miRNA knockdown in mammalian cells, including custom design 2-O-methyl RNA oligos (antisense to mature miRNA), miRIDIAN hairpin inhibitors (Dharmacon), anti-miR microRNA inhibitors(Ambion) and LNA oligos. Does anyone have information on the relative knockdown efficiency of each method? What would you recommend?
